Spring is a time of rainy days mixed with sunshine. You’ll love the automatic high beams in your Jeep Compass Latitude 4×4 as you head out on those dreary days. Here in Angola, IN, there’s plenty to head out for. We’ve rounded up the outdoor and indoor spring activities we’re most looking forward to this season.
On Saturday, May 13th the Community Humane Shelter welcomes you and your children to come read to the animals. This event is located at 780 Shelter Ln in Angola. It takes place from 10:00 am to 11:30 pm, with half-hour slots available for reading. It’s free to attend for all ages.
There will be library books at the event you can choose from, or you can bring your own to read. Children will mainly be reading to cats.
Come to the Selman Timber Frame Pavilion at Commons Park at Circle Hill Cemetery Rd to adopt a tree. The event is taking place on Saturday, April 29 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. It’s being put on by Angola Parks and Recreation. Come early and get a free tree sapling: there will be tulip, white oak, and red oak saplings to choose from.
Children are welcome and will have the chance to build a bluebird house. They can also join in making their own suet feeder. If you can, come early because these activities are only available while supplies last.
The Window Nook Art Studio is coming to the Happy Acres Campground to help kids make Mother’s Day gifts. This event is taking place at 1940 S 300 W on Saturday, May 13th from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Tickets for this event will cost $16.
The class will have all the supplies kids will need to make a flower pot. Parents are asked to stay and help their children along with the process.
The Angola Commons Park at 299 S John St is having a spring concert. Come see Mason Dixon Line perform on Friday, May 26th at 7:00 pm. If you’d like to enjoy food first, arrive at 6:00 pm. Along with food, you’ll be able to enjoy a small car show courtesy of North Wayne Cruise In.
Walk around the park, check out the cars, enjoy some nice snacks, and listen to Mason Dixon Line. It sounds like a perfect spring night at the Commons.
